Our Team

Jacob Blair Tait

Jake Tait (Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki) is an audio engineer, composer, musician and film producer from Waiuku, New Zealand. His music career has seen him score both feature and short films, this includes the recent comedy feature film: The Tavern. His involvement in all of these projects is where he discovered a passion for how stories come together, both on screen and behind the scenes (and especially when it comes to music). He has worked with musicians, filmmakers, and artists from all across New Zealand on many projects from ‘live to airs’ like In The Fridge to ambitious projects like Marriage of the Lamb and the upcoming short film Erased in White Clouds. Jake is also involved with TAIT Sound Studio, a company that provides more opportunities to support bold storytellers in Aotearoa and help bring unique New Zealand voices to the big screen.

Shion Alizadeh

Shion Alizadeh is an Iranian/Kiwi writer, director, and producer, based in Auckland, New Zealand. Shion’s love of film has been a guiding light, both personally and professionally. His obsession with storytelling inspired him to take up screenwriting, choosing to focus on the interior experiences of characters. He has directed four short films, including The Shroud. While Shion continues to be passionate about writing and directing, he also hopes to help others do the same. As a producer, he aims to work with filmmakers across New Zealand, and beyond, to develop their projects and bring them to life on the big screen.

Taiaroa Tait

Taiaroa Tait (Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki) is an American/Kiwi cinematographer and producer based in Auckland, New Zealand. He found photography in his youth and married that passion with his love of film after university. He has since been the Director of Photography on 13 short films, and has recently shot his first feature film. He has worked with a wide variety of directors and is always looking for something new and challenging.
